Copywriting skills. I practice persuasive writing techniques every morning, so I’m constantly learning new ways to write you copy that’s clear, informative, and memorable. I built my own small business on the strength of my writing skills alone.

Content writing skills. CDBaby has cited my small business as a “must-follow” resource for songwriters. I did manage to grow my email list from 0 to 1,649 readers in the past few years simply by writing one piece of solid content every 2-3 weeks—no other marketing aside from a minimal Twitter presence.

Descriptive writing skills. In January 2012 I contributed to Songwriting Without Boundaries, a book of writing exercises by Berklee College of Music professor Pat Pattison. The book was published by Writer’s Digest Press. I was invited back to contribute more demonstrations of description and metaphor for a new Berklee Online course. My writing’s now being used to inform and inspire Berklee students.

Airtight organization. I’ve built a productivity system based on GTD and it purrs. I write everything down, and review all those notes often to ensure that urgent and important work gets completed exactly to specifications. I aim to be on time every time, and calmly productive even under the tightest deadlines.
