Well, you’ve been away some time —
I guess roaming suits you fine.
But Autumn’s coming on
You’ll need a warm place inside.
If you turn your back to the wind
and find you’re facing homeward,
you can camp here.
I can’t bear the thought
of you alone in the cold.
You can camp here.
Hey, if tonight it’s cold, I’ll burn
a light in the loft so you
can climb to the top to sleep.
No one will hear or see.
If the loft’s too cold, just knock
I’ll lay a bed on the floor, and if
the floor’s too cold, just feel
your way through the dark to me.
